Exciting Stuff Right Here

Trip to Saints Johns: Finished (more on that later).
Moving: Sort of, kind of, completed.
House hunting: Not even started.
J.E.W. concert: 3 more days.
Blogger Meet-Up at The Duce: 4 more days.
Disneyland: 10 more days.
Another trip to Saint Johns for my friend's baby shower: 17 more days.
Etsy pop-up shop at West Elm: 32 more days.

I am so pumped for all these exciting things. But this morning I'm especially ecstatic about the last one. This morning, Etsy asked me if I would be interested in having my shop featured at a special, in-person event at West Elm Scottsdale. So mark your calendars for June 1st and I will see you at the Etsy pop-up shop event at West Elm.

Partying It Up At Grandma's

I am so busy. And surprisingly, I'm loving it even though I'm normally an extremely lazy person (go ahead, judge me).

You may know from reading this post that I got a raise and more hours at my current job. I also got a second job at Sweet Cakes Bakery. It's a lot of fun and I work with one of my best friends. We go in after hours and bake all the yummy goodies for the next day and make special orders. Some days I only work one or two hours. Other times I work from the time I get off from my day job until twelve thirty at night. It's been quite the experience so far and I can't complain about having a little extra cash.

I moved into my grandma's house this past weekend because my HOA is mean. I still need to make a couple trips back to my apartment to get the remainder of my stuff and clean it hardcore. After that, I'm hoping my apartment gets rented out quickly so I don't have to pay rent anymore (if it doesn't, my lease isn't up until the end of June). My grandma's house is a great temporary living situation, but I'm also on the hunt for a house to rent with my two girlfriends'.

This weekend I'm taking a little trip up to my wonderful hometown of Saint Johns, Arizona. My sixteen year old brother recently moved down to Gilbert and misses Saint Johns terribly (as do I). So he went ahead and asked a girl to the Saint Johns prom. I'm taking him up there for that and while he hangs out with his friends, I'll be staying with my best friend Jenna who is extremely pregnant. I'm so excited to spend time with her and help prepare for baby.

The following weekend I'm going to a Jimmy Eat World concert in Yuma. Let me tell you, I am beyond excited. The next night will be the Arizona Blogger Meet-Up at The Duce in Phoenix! Yay to making new bloggy friends!

Of course my life is also consumed with church activities, friends, family, day-to-day errands, and trying to figure out whether or not to go back to school. Oh, and I'm going to Disneyland over Memorial Day weekend! How did I forget about that? Sorry for the rambling post, my life has so much happening now and it needed to be written down. Deal.

Monday and A Video

"I know today is Monday and you assume it's going to suck, but according to statistics, there will be over 5,000 weddings, 10,000 childbirths, and 42 million hugs occuring today throughout the United States. Also today, there will be at least 4 people that will win the multimillion dollar lotteries, 600 people will get promotions at work, and 3,000 will lose their virginity. There will also be 600 dogs adopted, 35,000 ballons sold, and 800,000 Skittles sold. Plus, the words "I love you" will be said over 9 million times. so again, I know today is Monday and you assume it's going to suck, but just smile, because according to statistics, it should actually be a really nice day."

And here's a very short video of a bonfire I went to this weekend. They started it off by lighting 16 couches on fire. I wish I had filmed more, but I was more caught up in hanging out with friends so 37 seconds of video will have to do.

Romance Me Like A 1940's Postcard

If you follow me on Pinterest, you know I've recently become obsessed with vintage photos. I've pinned about 2495832 photos in the past 24 hours. Sorry, not sorry. I absolutely adore everything about them and it makes me wish my life was held in a different era.

There's many many more, but I'll refrain from posting all of them. I also discovered the most amazing Tumblr called mydaguerreotypeboyfriend.tumblr.com. It's absolutely fabulous. And don't you dare judge me for drooling over men that are long and gone. It's the same as being in love with fictional characters like Mr. Darcy. Which speaking of, where is my Mr. Darcy? I could use a little romance.

Let Me Be Single In Peace

Four Things I Was Unaware Of

Number 1: The release of this fantastic song yesterday.
Number 2: The fact that Jimmy Eat World is coming out with an entire album to be released in June.
Number 3: They will also be having concerts all of May in multiple places in Arizona and then in California. I have to go to at least one, if not more.
Number 4: I am the worst fan ever for not knowing any of the aforementioned items. I really need to get with it.

Thank you Katie for your fantastic post and making me aware of everything I was missing including this post on the sandlot, this blog dedicated to the fashionable Ali, and these horrendous street names.
On another note, I will soon be homeless if I don't find a place that accepts Harley's fatness. My HOA won't let me keep a dog over the weight of 20 lbs. Harley needs to lose quite of few pounds and fast seeing as she's currently at 55 lbs.

Don't worry Harley, I don't think you're chunky in the least bit. Maybe just a little... fluffy.
we'll find a place to live that accepts you just the way you are and maybe we'll even be able to get a yard. now wouldn't that be lovely?

First Guest Post - What Up?

Go visit me over at Get Busy Living today. My first guest post thanks to the fabulous Elizabeth!

Oh, and you guys!! I am so excited for General Conference this weekend! I've been trying to get in the right frame of mind so I went to check on the progress of the Gilbert Temple. It is absolutely gorgeous and I can't wait until it's completed. I also went and did Baptisms for the Dead last night at the Mesa Temple. I'm so thankful I have a temple so close to me and am able to go as often as I like. The blessings of the temple are amazing.

PS - Remember this post? Yeah, I totally got that raise.

Grasping Onto Happiness

I feel way out of the loop in the blogging community right now. I am super behind in reading all my favorite blogs. Today is the first day I've checked mine in probably a week. And I have little to no idea what this post is going to turn into.

Sometimes life gets away from you. It seems in those moments that you're so sure of things, that's when everything starts falling apart. It's strange to think that in this post I was so sure for once in the direction my life was taking, and now, a mere three week later, I am completely and utterly lost. But I plan to cling onto anything that brings me happiness. I have the gospel. I have the temple. I have the scriptures. I have my health. I have a job. I have great friends. I have my dog that loves me no matter what. I have big ideas for my future. I have determination.

I may be completely unsure of my future, but I plan to continue to push on and hope for the best. Things will work out. I have the gospel to guide me in my decisions.

After a very confusing evening, I made this chalkboard quote. I feel it embodies my life pretty well at the current time.
